Brian Gates, BNI Executive Director Essex and London East

Since attending the mental health first aid England training courses I feel I have seen a positive change in myself and how I now communicate with others. The mental health aware course started to open my mind on how to communicate and be empathetic with not only work colleagues but my friends and family as well. Having attended the mental health aware course I felt compelled to further my knowledge and understanding by attending the mental health first aider training. Looking forwards I know that I will be able to look after and support those around me with non-judgmental eyes but with those of love and care.

Stephanie what you’re doing training employees and business owners is making a real difference to the businesses you come into contact with. If I was a business owner looking to take the mental health first aid England training with Stephanie and the resilient workforce, all I can say is you will not be disappointed. It will make you as it has me a more empathetic leader within my organisation and I can’t thank Stephanie enough for the changes she’s made to the way I run my business but also the way I run my life.

Stephanie this is a business for you but I can also see this is also your passion.  Please continue doing what you do because you’re making such a difference to the people you come into contact with and I would not hesitate in recommending Stephanie and the resilient workforce to anybody that wants to widen their knowledge and be a better leader or work colleague

I attended my first MHFA course this year which was delivered by Steph Hutchings. It was an amazing course, full of such useful and important information on how to support people who are dealing with mental health conditions, from spotting the signs of various conditions right through to how to treat people with respect and empathy.

Steph’s approach was thoughtful, considerate and mindful when discussing some very challenging topics, with the wellbeing of our cohort uppermost in her mind.  She teaches with such compassion, underpinned by an in-depth knowledge of her topic and I would recommend this course to anyone.  In fact I think it should be compulsory in all workplaces.

Thinking I Knew a lot! I was amazed at what I did not know! And how it is changed my way of thinking, and my behaviour and listening skills towards people, if they need someone just to be there for them.I can easily say, the course has changed me as a person, and changed the way I no w approach such sensitive matters. I am sure now, that having a Company, which I have five staff members, that I can now hopefully help my staff, if ever they need support and someone to listen to them, like all of us sometimes experiencing difficult times.

Not only was the course, very interesting and informative, and really do think, it is the way you applied everything, you are very understanding, very professional, most of all such a lovely person.

“Overall the content was brilliant, I made lots of notes and it was easy to follow. I have learned a lot and now have increased awareness. I feel strongly that the more we educate people on mental health and suicide, the more we can help change it and prevent it
